DELICIOUS! Best restaurant we ate at in the city our whole trip. The service was amazing and they were very attentive and kind. The ambiance is very cool and chill. The restaurant is very pretty and not loud. We walked by it and decided to try it out and I am so glad we did. We ordered the mushroom appetizer which was my favorite. We also ordered the feta appetizer and I do not love feta and this was delicious! For our mains we shared a burger and got broccoli and cauliflower on the side. The sides had the perfect flavor and were cooked perfectly and the burger was also amazing with the fries. Highly recommend coming here!

Laura Geller Beauty knows how to delight her beauty influencers. One way is to treat them to a fabulous meal at Amali, a great restaurant with all the right perks. Amali NYC provided excellent service in a room full of excited, talkative people excited about the holiday festivities and connected with many familiar social media personalities, including some of the Housewives of New Jersey. A night to remember with photo pops, Laura Geller Beauty gift bags, and a new product personalized with your name in calligraphy. An excellent Italian festive holiday dinner in NYC cheers to Amali for a wonderful holiday celebration to remember.

Decent Mediterranean restaurant-- good but not great. We both ordered the lunch tasting course menus. - Soup of the day: 9/10 (pretty good squash soup with hints of curry! It was very warming on a cold day.) - Skirt steak: 9/10 (pretty decent steak with huge portion sizes) - Duck: 7/10 (I was expecting more of a grilled duck steak and not a sandwich. Overall, the duck was a bit lacking in flavor.) Ambiance was very cozy and cute and service was good.

First time at this Mediterranean restaurant, host and wait staff very nice, room was nicely decorated but the lighting could have been a little brighter so we could see the delicious food that was being served but the room was very inviting and comfortable for a night out. Had the grilled clams, the breadcrumbs were nicely toasted on top of delicious local clams in orange butter. For the entree, I had the red snapper served on Moroccan rice wrapped in grape leaves. The fish was nicely prepared and very tender.

I had my small group baby shower in the Fireplace room. Food was amazing, and the Enzo who managed serving helping hosting my shower was a great help and very kind. My guests all enjoyed the great dishes and ambience of the restaurant. My bill was ended up higher than expected, but it was definitely worth spending for good food, service and ambience of the restaurant.

RATING: 7.8/10 PRO TIP: Was able to seat us on a Friday at 7pm right away, though it got crowded quick. If you choose the pasta, get the cavatelli, trust me. You probs haven't heard of this place but you'll be pleasantly surprised. The bread that they give you is fresh, coated with sesame seeds and comes with a delicious spread we couldn't get more of. Surprised to say the least. CAVATELLI Of the pasta options available, I elected for this one while my friend got the pappardelle and we both agreed this one was better. It was PERFECTLY al dente and had this nice bouncy chewiness to it, with the savory meatiness of the lamb and a little smokiness as well. It was a really good dish and I was pleasantly surprised. They have a pretty large drink menu too and you'll be able to find something you like. For me, I like sweet drinks/cocktails so I feel like I was really happy with my choices. The ambience is busy, a little elevated, but the dining room is def packed; you are just inches away from other tables. Nice space otherwise. Service was attentive. FINAL CATEGORY: GREAT (terrible / bad / ok / good / GREAT / excellent)

I am so glad my friend told me about this restaurant!  There were 4 of us on a Friday night for dinner, I believe only one person in our party had been there before.  Apparently they have new menu items since the last time she was there.  It was full for dinner in the main room by the time we left, plus the back room was full with at least one very large group. There's an upstairs area that can be used for private events but we didn't have a chance to take a look.  There are also a couple of small tables outside. Convenient location, lovely space, delicious creative house cocktails (with cool names!), delicious and beautifully presented food (and good portions!). The staff was attentive and friendly and helpful.  They have an extensive wine list and were able to answer questions/make suggestions to those of us having wine. If I were to label the cuisine, I would say "upscale Mediterranean." According to Amali's website the menu reflects the historical cuisines shared by modern day Greece, Italy, France, and Spain.  Note their service model (which is mentioned in the beginning of their menu) - they include an 18% hospitality surcharge in order to pay their staff above-market wages for service workers. To drink I had the "October in Astoria" because I was in a bourbon mood.  It was really great! My friend prefers gin and had the "Easy Virtue". The 4 of us shared everything - started with the autumn squash hummus and roasted sunchokes. For mains  - we were told when we first sat down that there were only two ducks left so we reserved one. It is on the menu as "entrees for two" but it would easily be enough for 4 people if you also share an appetizer or two. The spice roasted duck was PHENOMENAL and unlike any preparation of duck any of us had eaten before.  It includes spiced duck plus duck kofta (made from the duck leg?), plus homemade pancakes and veggies and jalapeno yogurt sauce on the side.  As a main it comes with two sides - we chose the fingerling potatoes (prepared crispy and way better than we expected!) and the brussels sprouts. - apparently some of the fresh pastas on the menu are new.  We decided to go with the short rib cappelletti - it melts in the mouth OMG. After that much food (the duck was a large portion!) we unfortunately did not have room for dessert.

Super cute restaurant that offers fresh Mediterranean cuisine. We stopped by on a Sunday evening and were seated right away with no reservation. From the squash hummus to the chickpea burger, everything I ate was tasty and flavorful. The dressing that was on the side salad with my chickpea burger deserves its own accolade because it was absolutely delicious. Those that were dining with me also enjoyed their meals (the burger & the cavatelli). Service was friendly but we did have to track down a waiter when we were ready to pay since they had all seemed to disappear at once. Other than that, I would recommend giving this place a try!
